ARK (Allergy Rescue Kit) is a division of Blue Star Medical Sales, created with a mission to provide life-saving access to epinephrine in emergencies.

After years of experience helping to reduce the opioid overdose epidemic, I began asking the same question for severe allergies: What is being done for those with peanut and tree nut allergies—especially as stocked epinephrine becomes more common in schools and public places?

This mission is personal, my middle son, has a nut allergy. While our family always carries epinephrine, not every family does. Too often, schools, offices, restaurants, and public spaces hesitate to keep emergency epinephrine on hand due to liability concerns or financial barriers.

There are many reasons why people may not have epinephrine available when needed. Sometimes an allergy is undiagnosed. Sometimes its severity changes. And sometimes, as children grow up and live independently, they may simply forget their medication. As a parent preparing to send my son off on his own, I couldn’t ignore the “what if” moments.

That’s why we developed ARK. Modeled after the success of publicly available naloxone for opioid overdoses, ARK is designed to make epinephrine more accessible—where and when it’s needed most.
